District Heating Manager at Karlskoga Energi & Miljö

Do you want to take a key role in leading and developing our district heating operations? We are now looking for a District Heating Manager who will play an important role in leading and driving the work with our district heating distribution.

In this role, you will combine responsibility for facility development with project and work management, working to ensure a long-term sustainable, efficient, and safe district heating distribution.

The Assignment

In this role, you will have overall technical responsibility for the district heating facilities and will be responsible for investment and renewal planning, as well as driving the development of facilities, working methods, and projects related to the district heating network and customer facilities.

You will collaborate closely with the operations manager, district heating technicians, the operation department of the combined heat and power plant, and Business & Communication.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• Being responsible for facility ownership for district heating, including environmental analysis, investment, and renewal planning in the short and long term
• Ensuring that the facilities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements
• Having overall technical responsibility for the facilities and ensuring that facility documentation is updated and correct
• Driving business, process, and business development
• Leading and executing investment and development projects, from planning and budgeting to follow-up and final calculations
• Planning, leading, and prioritizing maintenance work
• Coordinating resources and stakeholders such as internal functions, designers, and contractors
• Leading weekly meetings and participating in budget and operational planning

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is attracted to a role where you can combine technology, planning, and execution. You have relevant technical education and previous experience working with district heating systems, technical facilities, and/or project management in similar operations.

You also have a good ability to see the big picture, prioritize between different tasks, and create structure in your work.

Employment Type

This is a permanent position, and we apply a six-month probationary period.
